![]() ![]() If you are using a second monitor disable that until you get everything up and running good with one monitor first. Don't use second hand drivers from unknown sources and randomly googled websites. For instance, if you have an Nvidia graphics card Nvidia will have the latest drivers available on their website. This will remove the entries the installer placed in the Windows registry.īefore getting too far down the line I would double check your graphics cards drivers to make sure they are up to date. You need to use the uninstaller in the directory OpenToonz was installed in. If you just delete your files from the Program Files directory that will not get the job done. Desktop mode being more optimal for working with dedicated desktop applications such as Opentoonz that aren't optimized for touch. If you have any scene files in the old stuff directory they are still there in the old renamed directory.Īlso something to check is whether or not your Windows settings have you in Touch Mode or Desktop mode. The important thing being that when you install you will get a fresh stuff directory installed and all your settings will get refreshed as well. The following articles will help you determine if any of the above issues are causing your pressure. Incorrect driver settings and pen defects can also cause you to lose pressure sensitivity. You an just add something like the word "OLD" or "backup" or the current date at the end. A loss of pressure sensitivity could also be caused by interference from another device near the tablet, or by the use of a specific software or plugin. I suggest you rename the stuff directory at C:\Opentoonz 1.2 stuff as well. When working in Krita, the pressure sensitivity isn’t always active, which means that the amount of pressure placed on the drawing pen doesn’t affect the line size. unfortunately it looks to me like that is the stage you are at. A pressure pen is valuable in digital art because it bases the darkness or lightness of every line drawn based on how hard or soft the pen is pressed onto the drawing pad or tablet. Something you could try, is try installing the oldest available version of Toonz (1.0) to see if it's any better, it was marginally better when I tried it and the brush lag really kicks in after 1.1.2. I have no idea for N-Trig, I think you could open the Pen and Touch window (type flicks in search) and go to the Pen Options tab, double click Press and Hold and uncheck "Enable press and hold for right-clicking". With a Wacom tablet, you can set the double-click distance to off to fix it under Wacom Tablet Properties panel. The bottom image you posted on the right (the one with the long straight line) looks like the double-click distance issue with Windows Ink. Krita also has a very similar problem in 3.3.3 but looks to be resolved in 4.0, the issue is with OpenGL so could the same issue apply to Toonz? In Krita, switching to ANGLE fixes it. I have a similar issue that I posted in #1816 where the line looks like it breaks or loops through itself if you draw quickly. ![]()
