![]() ![]() You assumed I'm "playing victim", which again, I don't get because that's not how I feel. You did not take this as an analysis (which, again, I don't understand why you're being aggressive) I said why I don't like them for MY game (I don't understand why you're being aggressive) Your main takeaway here then, is none of the points I raised. I'll reserve that for when EA puts TS4 in the discount bin, and take it as a cue that they're not gonna put out updates that could potentially break the mesh on the sim. One reason why, if I would ever use cc, I'd get a maxis match for all EA provided for us. ![]() Second thought that comes to mind is, part of the fun in CAS in TS4 is making characters based on what's available to you, what the game developers gave the players to play around with, and the "Aesthetic" that fits the rest of the game.ĬAS didn't improve the way they did ans move away from what they did with prior versions (like a sticker from a selection of presets), and I understand why they'd want to give a bit more freedom with CAS that way. I'm curious to see an alpha sim in action tho. To me, the exaggerated animations are fitted to match the way the sims look. No sites to visit just to get this hair or those eyes. As a CAS creator, I think of my followers who want to download my sims and want the least amount of work for them. I don't like it, either and wouldn't use it myself, but they can do it and I'm not gonna look down on them for it.Īs a player, I like being able to download stuff and voila! It's there and ready to play. I was looking for a sub with no Alpha CC's lol. Thanks for posting this! So glad I'm not the only one. Ironically, I was just on another thread showing appreciation for non-toxicity on this sub and I agreed.īut alpha users seem to have other thoughts and focused on the "anti-alpha" mentality instead of my real message which is "I won't use it on mine." That's an unfortunate side, which can turn toxic if this discussion and mentality goes on. Something tells me that being a non-alpha user or having thoughts about it is prohibited(?)Ĭase in point: the -7 downvotes I have on this thread for expressing why I don't use alpha even though I JUST said I'm fine with users who use it on their plays and why I won't use it on mine. It also doesn't mean people who dislike it will attack you for it, coz like I said and I think most people would agree, that hey it's your game. We just don't like it on our game and we have our thoughts about it. It also doesn't mean that just because you use alpha doesn't mean we' who prefer mm or just base packs are making ourselves superior to alpha users. Yeah, exactly! We who dislike using it, don't hurt the alpha users for it coz hey, it's your game. ![]() Again, nothing wrong with it at all! I just personally don’t find it appealing. I get not everyone does this, but I’ve noticed that this is the general popular trend.Įdit: I had no idea this was such a popular opinion on Reddit! I’m still new to this forum, and i really only interacted with the tumblr sims community which is about 90% cc (alpha mods?). I get everyone wants sims that look conventionally attractive, but a lot of the CC sims end up looking the same which is a small nose, pale-tan skin (rarely dark), light-colored and bigger eyes, small but full lips, and always very skinny. I think the fact that sims look a little cartoony adds to the fact that its a game. ![]() Usually they all look like models from instagram that underwent massive plastic surgery, and when this is put on toddler or child sims, it just looks even weirder. I think that CC’s and mods are incredible and add a lot to the game, but in my honest opinion, sims that are modified to look super realistic look even more fake. ![]()
